Welcome to 2nd FASAVA 2009

Dear Colleagues,

The Federation of Asian Small Animal Veterinary Associations cordially invites you to participate in the 2nd Congress of the Federation of Asian Small Animal Veterinary Association (FASAVA 2009) in Bangkok, Thailand 3-5 November, 2009. This will be the first “stand-alone” FASAVA Congress held.

Companion Animal practice continues to develop all over the world and is of increasing importance in Asia. FASAVA was formed to encourage communication and cooperation between veterinarians throughout the Asian region and to promote the adoption of new technology and techniques.

The growth of small animal veterinary practice in Asia is extremely rapid and improved knowledge will substantially improve the welfare and health of animals under our care. Rapid scientific progress is always made through communication and the sharing of knowledge. FASAVA will become an essential part of the process to develop the and increase the status of veterinary knowledge in the Asian region. It is very appropriate that the theme for FASAVA 2009 is “A Drive for Asian Synergy”.

The experienced team that organized the 28th WSAVA 2003 will be in charge of the forthcoming FASAVA Congress in 2009. Therefore, it can be assured that this event will be exceptionally rewarding. It will consist of a comprehensive and intellectually stimulating scientific program, in line with unique and exciting social activities that Thailand has to offer.

The venue for the conference is Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) which is Thailand's leading venue for exhibitions and conventions.
