Biographical Information
Dr. Don J. Harris graduated from the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1980. His practice became exclusively avian in 1990, and he opened Miami's first exotics-only veterinary hospital, Avian & Exotic Animal Medical Center, in 1996. He maintains an extensive network with leaders in exotic animal medicine both nationally and internationally. Avian & Exotic serves as a point of contact between the hospital's clients and the worldwide authorities on practically any situation involving exotic pets. Dr. Harris received the Outstanding Service Award from the Association of Avian Veterinarians in 1986, the Speaker of the Year Award from the North American Veterinary Conference in 1997, and many other commendations over the years from various colleges and associations. He served as president of the worldwide Association of Avian Veterinarians in 1991-92, president of the South Florida Veterinary Medical Association 1993-94.

Jorge Guerrero

Biographical Information
Dr Guerrero received his veterinary degree from the University of San Marcos in Lima, Peru. He obtained the MSc and PhD degrees at the University of Illinois. He is a Diplomate of the European Veterinary Parasitology College since 2003. During his career Dr. Guerrero spent 28 years in research, development and general management in two pharmaceutical companies: Johnson and Johnson and Merck and co, Inc. He also taught different subjects in Universities in Brazil, Peru and the USA and has been a visiting professor in Europe and South America. He is the recipient of numerous awards among them the Distinguished Veterinary Parasitologists Award for 2005 granted by the American Association of Veterinary Parasitologists. He has over 175 publications and one US patent and serves as the Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Applied Research in Veterinary Medicine and as the Associate Editor of the American Heartworm Society.

Biographical Information
Dr. Burrows is a Professor of Medicine and Chairman of the Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences at the University of Florida , College of Veterinary Medicine . His specialty is the study of canine and feline gastrointestinal, hepatic, and pancreatic disease. His research has focused on canine gastrointestinal motility in health and disease, and on the relationship between diet and gastrointestinal disease. Dr. Burrows is a graduate of the Royal Veterinary College, University of London (B.Vet.Med) and the University of Pennsylvania (Ph.D.)

Clarke Atkins, DVM

Biographical Information
Dr. Clarke Atkins graduated at the University of California, Davis in 1972. Dr. Atkins completed his internship at the Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston. He became board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in internal medicine in 1978 and in cardiology in 1992. Dr. Atkins is known for his research and teaching in small animal cardiology, having authored more than 150 publications. He is also the author of a multimedia interactive computer program in canine cardiology and numerous textbook chapters.

Biographical Information
Dr. Grauer received his DVM degree from Iowa State University in 1978. He then completed his postgraduate training (internship, residency, and MS degree) at Colorado State University between 1978 and 1982. Dr. Grauer obtained his specialty board certification in Internal Medicine in 1983. Dr. Grauer's areas of clinical and research interest involve the small animal urinary system and he recently co-edited the BSAVA Manual of Canine and Feline Nephrology and Urology which was published in 2007.
