The 2nd FASAVA 2009 organizing committee consists of Thai veterinary experts who have long been supporting the development of the veterinary science both in Thailand and in the region. The Thai organizing committee has strong background and expertise cover the entire veterinary science.

Dr. Pratuang Sudsakorn
Dr.Wimon Pothiwong
Dr. Pothiwong graduated a Bachelor of Science degree in 1976 at Chulalongkorn University. And in the year 1978, she graduated in DVM at the same university with the 1st class honour. In 1996, she was given an opportunity to be trained on the special techniques of specimen preparation at different countries such as Utrecht University, The Netherlands , Hannover, Germany and the Royal Veterinary College, University of London, UK. Currently, Dr. Pothiwong is an associate professor in the department of Veterinary Anatomy, and also, an assistant Dean (under cultural promotion and special activities) in the Faculty of Veterinary Science at Chulalongkorn University. Her involvement in the Vet Zone is not only limited in the roof of her Alma Mater but it also reaches outside her vicinity by participating in several organization and associations of Veterinary Society. Her interest is in the microscopic structure of animal blood cells.

Assoc.Prof.Parnchitt Nilkamhang
Dr. Nilkumhang is an associate professor in small animal medicine at Kasesart University . After graduated from Chulalongkorn University in 1971, she received a Diploma in Tropical Veterinary Medicine from University of Edinburgh,UK in 1974 and a Master Degree in Veterinary Studies in Clinical Pathology from University of Melbourne,Australia in 1978.During her long years in the faculty and in clinical services, Dr. Nilkumhang has been actively participating in veterinary continuing education organizations in Thailand. After rejoicing four years experience as a president of Veterinary Practitioner Association of Thailand (VPAT) and receiving the award of Veterinary Practitioner of the Year 1993, she has recently established a feline veterinarian group (TSOFP, Thai Society of Feline Practitioners) contributing updated feline knowledge to members all over the country. Dr Nilkumhang has constantly involved in professional scientific meetings including the WSAVA 2003 in Bangkok . Dr. Nilkumhang's main interests are feline medicine, infectious and vector borne diseases in dog and cat.
Assoc.Prof. Dr. Parntep Ratanakorn
Dr. Parntep Ratanakon is an Associate Professor and also a Director in the Monitoring and Surveillance Center for Zoonotic Disease on Wildlife and Exotic Animal (MoZWE). He has gained his Masteral in Pathobiology at Mahidol University in the year 1980. From this year till to-date, he is a Referral Avian and Exotic Pet Veterinary Practitioner in a private clinic. He has also been the President of the Veterinary Practitioner Association of Thailand (VPAT) from 1994 – 1998. After that, he became an editor of VPAT Journal. His involvement in different organizations is truly admirable since until today he is still active. Among his memberships are : He is one of the Executive Board of VPAT, Executive Board Member of Zoological Park Organization under Royal Patronage and an Executive Board Member of the Veterinary Council of Thailand. He is not only active socially but also, he is active with regards to writing and involvement in the Veterinary World. He has 13 publications and has released 7 books. The Director of MoZWE and the Chairman Elect of FASAVA, he is Dr. Parntep Ratanakorn.
Dr.Wantanee Ratanasak
Dr. Wantanee Ratanasak is the Dean of Faculty of Veterinary Science, Mahidol University , Salaya Campus Nakhon Pathom. Dr. Wantanee Ratanasak obtained her veterinary degree from Kasetsart University in 1975 and M.Sc. (Microbiology) from Mahidol University in 1986. Dr. Wantanee Ratanasak has previously served as Director of National Laboratory Animal Centre and various management positions in other organizations related to Laboratory Animal Science. Dr. Wantanee Ratanasak was the recipient of Certificate of Appreciation from International Council for Laboratory Animal Science (ICLAS) and Professional and Outstanding in Management Alumni of the year 2004” Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University.
Dr.Sompol Siriudomseth
Dr. Siriudomseth graduated from Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, DVM., Kasetsart University in 1975. He Worked for Charoen Pokphand group as a Technician from 1975 to 1981 and later he established his own business, Giss Marketing Co.,Ltd. selling and distributing Veterinary and Livestock Equipment from 1982 to present. Dr. Siriudomseth was one of the Organizing Committee WSAVA 2003 and currently he is a member of the Committee of the Thai Veterinary Medicine Association under Royal Patronage.
Pol.Capt. Dr. Araya Phonsuwan
Pol.Capt. Dr. Araya Phonsuwan is the owner of Veterinary 4 polyclinic, the Vet hospital in Bangkok , Thailand . Dr. Araya graduated from Chulalongkorn University in 1984. She started her career at the mounted police subdivision for 5 years and the next 5 years at the canine police subdivision then she resigned. She dedicated herself as a full time vet practitioner at her own office from 1994 to present. She is also a member of the committee of VPAT and the Secretary Committee of Thai society of feline practitioner. Dr. Phonsuwan travels to many vet conferences in Europe, United States , and Australia to gain more knowledge and to enrich her skill as a vet. She is interested in feline medicine as shed attended PGF, Sydney University in 2003 and North American Veterinary Conference Post graduate Institute – Feline medicine course in Orlando in 2004. From her various experiences, she has introduced hydrotherapy as the alternative treatment in orthopedic medicine and and finally the first dog pool was built in Bangkok , Thailand in 2005.
Dr.Tanin Santiwattanatarm
 
Dr.Karoon Chaiwongroj
Dr. Chaiwongroj obtained his veterinary degree from Kasetsart University in 1987. Currently, he is the editor of several vet magazines including VPN, Dogazine, Cat Magazine and PIN. He is the director of Pet Care Center (Pet Mall) and Kaset Pet Grooming School . He is also the CEO of Pettrek Thai Company. Dr. Chaiwongroj used to be the product group manager of Diethem Co., Ltd., the general manager of IVET Co.,Ltd., and used to work for Better Pharma Co., Ltd. He is also working voluntarily as a member of the committee of: The Veterinary Practitioner Association of Thailand, Kasetsart University Veterinary Alumni Association, Veterinary Council of Thailand and Animal Health Service Center , Chiangmai University .
Ms.Suwanna Jakraworavudh
Ms. Suwanna Jakraworavudh is currently an Executive Vice President and Lean Six Sigma Leader of GE Money ( Thailand ). She is responsible for 1) providing consultancy service in the area of Lean Six Sigma to all business units under GE Money (Thailand) umbrella 2) developing Lean Six Sigma experts organically to help drive business towards its goals as well as to continue cultivating Six Sigma culture into the organization and 3) ensuring that all business decisions made are aligned with GE Money growth strategy. Since joining GE Money ( Thailand ) in 1994, Ms. Jakraworavudh has taken several management positions including the Director of Operations- responsible for Remittance, Customer Service, Customer Relationship Management, and Collections. In 1997, she was certified as Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Thailand Lean Six Sigma Leader. Ms. Jakraworavudh obtained an M.B.A from Assumption University (ABAC) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary from Chulalongkorn University.
